Gianpaolo Lombardi

About the person

Dr. Gianpaolo Lombardi is a medical doctor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist with many years of experience treating complex addiction-related disorders within the public healthcare system, where he has been active since 2003. His extensive training in systemic family therapy took place over two decades (1998–2018) in the renowned “Bottega” under the guidance of the brilliant Maestro Rodolfo de Bernart—an experience for which he remains deeply grateful.

Today, he proudly and passionately serves as the Director of the IAF.F – Institute for Advanced Training and Family Psychotherapy, where he combines clinical practice with institutional leadership and advanced training.

Driven by a love for meaningful travel that connects heart and mind, Dr. Lombardi has represented Italy on the international board of the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP) since 2014. In 2018, he was awarded the Fellow in Psychotherapy diploma. Nationally, he serves on the board of FIAP (Italian Federation of Psychotherapy Associations), where he represents the AITF, the association of Italian family therapy institutes.

Dr. Gianpaolo Lombardi ist Arzt, Psychiater und Psychotherapeut mit langjähriger Erfahrung in der Behandlung komplexer Suchterkrankungen im öffentlichen Gesundheitswesen, wo er seit 2003 tätig ist. Seine fundierte Ausbildung in systemischer Familientherapie absolvierte er über zwei Jahrzehnte (1998–2018) in der renommierten „Bottega“ bei dem brillanten Maestro Rodolfo de Bernart – eine prägende Zeit, für die er bis heute große Dankbarkeit empfindet.

Mit Stolz und Engagement leitet Dr. Lombardi heute das IAF.F – Istituto di Alta Formazione e di Psicoterapia Familiare, dessen Direktor er ist. Sein Wirken verbindet therapeutische Praxis, fachliche Ausbildung und institutionelle Verantwortung.

Seit 2014 vertritt er Italien im internationalen Vorstand des World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP), getragen von einer tiefen Reiselust, die Herz und Verstand vereint. 2018 wurde ihm das Diplom als Fellow in Psychotherapy verliehen. Auf nationaler Ebene engagiert sich Dr. Lombardi als Vorstandsmitglied der FIAP (Italienische Föderation der Psychotherapie-Vereinigungen), wo er die AITF, die Vereinigung der italienischen Familientherapie-Institute, repräsentiert.
