Priv.-Doz. Dr. Anna Jank-Humann is a member of the Faculty of Psychotherapy Science at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, where she holds the position of Head of the Master Program in Psychotherapy Science. Additionally, she is actively engaged with the Institute for Psychoanalytical-Ethnological Disaster Research, as well as the Research Center for Global Risks and Quality of Life. Dr. Jank-Humann earned her degree in psychotherapy science from the Sigmund Freud University, specializing in the study of disaster impacts, particularly storm surges in North Friesland.
She currently lectures at the Faculty of Psychotherapy Science and operates as a registered psychotherapist and individual psychological analyst in her private practice. Her scholarly and teaching focus includes disaster research, resilience studies, Iceland studies, and ethnological-psychoanalytic narrative and biographical research. Dr. Jank-Humann's interdisciplinary approach uniquely combines elements of psychotherapy, ethnology, and disaster studies, providing profound insights into the psycho-social dynamics of crises and the human capacity for resilience.

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Anna Jank-Humann ist Mitglied der Fakultät für Psychotherapiewissenschaft an der Sigmund Freud Universität in Wien, wo sie die Leitung des Masterstudiengangs in Psychotherapiewissenschaft innehat. Zudem ist sie aktiv im Institut für Psychoanalytisch-Ethnologische Katastrophenforschung sowie im Forschungszentrum für Globale Risiken und Lebensqualität engagiert. Dr. Jank-Humann erwarb ihren Abschluss in Psychotherapiewissenschaft an der Sigmund Freud Universität, spezialisiert auf die Untersuchung von Katastrophenauswirkungen, insbesondere von Sturmfluten in Nordfriesland.
Derzeit hält sie Vorlesungen an der Fakultät für Psychotherapiewissenschaft und arbeitet als eingetragene Psychotherapeutin und individuelle psychologische Analytikerin in ihrer Privatpraxis. Ihr wissenschaftlicher und lehrbezogener Schwerpunkt umfasst die Katastrophenforschung, Resilienzstudien, Island-Studien sowie ethnologisch-psychoanalytische narrative und biografische Forschung. Dr. Jank-Humanns interdisziplinärer Ansatz verbindet einzigartig Elemente der Psychotherapie, Ethnologie und Katastrophenforschung und bietet tiefgreifende Einblicke in die psychosozialen Dynamiken von Krisen und das menschliche Vermögen zur Resilienz.
